Tourism Westman is thrilled to announce a very successful 7th Annual Tribute to Tourism Awards & Gala. This special evening recognized and celebrated the exceptional individuals, businesses, organizations and communities within the Westman region that have made significant contributions to tourism development and promotion over the past year.
Tribute to Tourism Awards were awarded to recipients in six categories; Aspiring Youth, Marketing Excellence, Partnership, Product Development, Service Excellence and Volunteer of the Year. The winners in each category will receive acknowledgment in Tourism Westman initiatives. In addition to this recognition, all winners will automatically be nominated to the Manitoba Tourism Awards.
This year, Tourism Westman received a record 18 nominations from communities including; Killarney, Virden, Brandon, Carberry, Deloraine, Neepawa, Boissevain, Minnedosa and Souris.
Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Retired Major Marc George, Director of the RCA Museum.
Our guests enjoyed the band Fingal's Last Pint, who provided beautiful, traditional celtic music.
