Manitoba Agricultural Museum – Austin
This one-of-a-kind attraction features Canada’s largest collection of operating vintage farm machinery dating back to the late 1880’s to present day. This collection includes over 500 implements, as well as pioneer village with over 20 buildings. On the site is the Manitoba Amateur Radio Museum. The museum is open 9am – 5pm daily from mid May until October.

Containing local artifacts illustrating the history of the area. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays during the summer months.

A unique collection of World War Military Artifacts. Visitors welcome anytime.
Birdtail Country Museum – Birtle
The upstairs features the re-creation of a 1903 home, while the main floor houses displays of local interest. Special displays are also developed throughout the year. The museum is open from May to September, Monday to Saturday, 1pm – 5pm.
Beckoning Hills Museum - Boissevain
This is a museum of local history featuring a glimpse of pioneer life through photos, dishes, tools and furniture. Hours are 1pm – 5pm daily from May to September.
Irvin Goodon International Wildlife Museum – Boissevain
This magnificent display of wildlife includes grizzly and polar bears, artic wolf, musk ox, moose, bison and many other species from around the world all display in natural settings. Visit the unique wildlife gift shop and enjoy a fresh barbecued buffalo burger.
B.J. Hales Museum of Natural History - Brandon
The B.J. Hales Museum of Natural History contains over 500 specimens of Canadian birds, mammals, geology and plants. Open Monday - Friday: 1:00pm - 4:00pm (or by appointment).
Carousels and Dolls Doll Museum - Brandon
We offer for your viewing pleasure the largest collection of modern and reproductional dolls in the prairie region as well as a large collection of 20th century dolls and early "barbie" favorites. Commission dolls as well as restoration and costuming for your own precious doll is also available. By appointment only.

Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum – Brandon (Star Attraction)
Canada's only Air Museum dedicated solely to those who trained and fought for the British Commonwealth during the 1939-1945 War. Explore this World War II Royal Canadian Air Force Training Base showcasing aircrafts, artifacts and memorabilia. Open daily: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Summer); 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Winter).
Daly House Museum - Brandon
Enjoy a guided tour through the original home of Brandon's first Mayor, Thomas Mayne Daly. This upper middle-class home displays furnishings from the period of 1880-1890. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am - 12:00pm, and 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
26th Field Regiment 12th Manitoba Dragoons Museum - Brandon
Housed on the main floor of the historical Brandon Armoury, this military museum exhibits a variety of military artifacts, memorabilia and archives. Open Tuesdays; September - June, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. July - August, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Mid-October - Mid-April, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Carberry Plains Museum - Carberry
This museum features an interpretation of the area’s history from the 1880s to the present. Momentos are from Wop May, Tommy Douglas and the Criddle family. Open daily from June to September, 1pm – 6pm.
Badger Creek Museum – Cartwright
Contains local area artifacts as well as rural, agricultural and family life historical pieces. Open June to August, Tues – Sat, 1pm – 5pm, and by request.
Cartwright School Museum – Cartwright
This museum displays various items that would be found in an early pioneer school. Open June to August, Tues – Sat, 1pm – 5pm, and by request.
Manitoba Telephone System Museum – Cartwright
Recalls the earliest days of telephone service with artifacts and displays. Open June to August, Tues – Sat, 1pm – 5pm, and by request.
Blacksmith Museum – Cartwright
Located on its original site in the centre of Cartwright, the museum is a fully restored and working Blacksmith shop. Open upon request.
The Crystal City Community Printing Museum – Crystal City
This is a working museum, which houses the province’s largest collection of century-old printing machinery still in perfect operating condition. Open year round, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.
The Pilot Mound Centennial Museum – Pilot Mound
This museum contains many interesting relics and artifacts of the early inhabitants and settlers of the area. Open year-round, 1pm – 4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday.
Manitoba Automobile Museum – Elkhorn
The museum’s collection displays 100 automobiles from the turn of the century to the 1970’s. Included in the collection are many rare and unique vehicles that are in excellent condition and an interesting see for all. Also included in the museum’s collection is an extensive agricultural display featuring steam engines and turn of the century farm equipment. A unique part of the collection is also Robert Clarke Indian artifact collection as well as many other collectibles. The museum is open May to September.
Foxwarren Museum – Foxwarren
The museum features a large variety of artifacts including home living displays. A memorial garden has been developed in front of the Museum to honour former residents. A tree was planted in 1999 to dedicate the year of the older person. Open May to September, Tuesdays and Thursdays and on special requests.
Gladstone Museum - Gladstone
The Gladstone and District Museum showcases artifacts from the surrounding area. Unique features include a caboose and signal shack. Located in the CNR Building on 6th Street at Williams Park. Open from May to September, Noon – 5pm weekdays, and 2pm – 5pm weekends.
Burrough of the Gleann Museum and Archives – Glenboro
This museum features a collection of antique furniture, clothing and pioneer artifacts; kitchen, parlour and bedroom displays and domestic and agricultural artifacts. Open June to September, or by appointment.
J.A.V. David Museum – Killarney
Housed in the town’s first post office (1889) with a modern annex. It features Native and early pioneer artifacts, homestead maps, cemetery records, war relics, natural history exhibits, an art collection and memorabilia of the Manitoba Sanatorium at Ninette. Open June – Sept, Tues – Sat, 10am – 5pm.
Turtle Mountain Flywheel Club Historic Village / Power Machinery Museum – Killarney
A large display building will house as many as one hundred engines, ranging from a Ruston-Hornsby diesel that powered the original Manitoba Pool Elevator in Killarney to a one horse power unit. Equipment in operation as well as static displays can be viewed. Museum is open from spring to fall.
Antler River Historical Museum - Melita
This museum features artifacts from local archaeological digs along with a wildlife exhibit that includes 200 mounted birds. You can also tour through a rural school room and a turn-of-the-century pioneer home. Finally, visit the Fred Jensen Trophy Room that is found adjacent to the museum. This prairie gem features a unique display of birds and animals from around the world. Open June 1 – August 31, Tues – Sat, Noon – 5pm. Sundays in July and August, 1pm – 4pm.
Miniota Municipal Museum – Miniota
Includes a pioneer home, Native artifacts and fossils. Open daily, July and August, and by appointment; June to September hours are 2pm – 4pm Sunday, and by appointment.
Heritage Village Museum – Minnedosa
There is a church, log cabin, furnished heritage home, rural schoolhouse, pump-house, waterwheel and trout pond. Open in the summer during regular business hours.
Beautiful Plains Museum - Neepawa
Three floors of artifacts featuring a chapel, barbershop, general store and other settings. Open May Long Weekend to September Long Weekend (9am – 5pm weekdays, 1pm – 5pm weekends).
Margaret Laurence Home - Neepawa (Star Attraction)
A living memorial to Margaret Laurence. A wide variety of her memorabilia includes doctoral robes and hoods, typewriter, honourary degrees and some of the original furniture. Gift shop on site. Open mid-May to September 30, daily 10 am - 5 pm; by appointment rest of year. Admission charged. Tours welcome.
Reston Museum - Reston
It includes agricultural artifacts and historic machinery from Reston and area. Open May to the end of August.
Clack Family Heritage Museum – Rivers
This unique museum houses a beautiful collection of antiques, automobiles and artifacts. A must-see for any visitor, the museum is open from May to September.
Chapman Museum - Rivers
The museum features 16 buildings over one hundred years old and houses thousands of artifacts in its churches, schools, stores, and stations. Open all summer, including Sunday.
Clair English’s Museum – Rivers
A quaint attraction featuring a number of sheds and an old church. Open year-round; appointments are necessary.
Royal Canadian Artillery Museum – Shilo (Star Attraction)
The RCA Museum is often noted as one of the best artillery museums in Canada, exhibiting a variety of artillery pieces, ammunition and WWII vehicles. Summer hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays are 1pm – 4pm. Winter hours are Tuesday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.
“The Plum”; 1883 Souris Heritage Church Museum – Souris
Enjoy this extraordinary original-coloured Plum and Chocolate late Victorian style heritage center, the town’s oldest building. Live Story Tours about its outstanding history and the activities of people associated with the building. Live original Mini-Musicals, entertaining and enlightening. Lower level features Victorian Tea Room, local heritage foods and crafts, interesting Souris and area people, Dinner Theatre and tourist information.
Hillcrest Museum – Souris
This 1910 home is filled with historic pieces of Souris area; a world class collection of over 5,000 butterflies and moths; a large agricultural museum; and a railway caboose. Open July 1 to Labour Day, daily, 10am – 6pm, or by request.
Virden Pioneer Home Museum - Virden
Built in 1888, the Pioneer Home Museum was one of Virden’s first residences to be built on Quality Hill – a section of town where many affluent members of the community settled. This lavishly decorated museum depicts life in the Victorian era and is home to more than 8,000 artifacts.
Sipiweske Museum - Wawanesa
This museum is located on the site of the 1903 Wawanesa Mutual Insurance building. The collection includes memorabilia from early pioneers, the insurance company, the Criddle family and Nellie McClung. Displays include local exhibits that portray early pioneer life in Southwest Manitoba. Open July and August from 1pm – 6pm and 7pm – 9pm.
Waskada Museum – Waskada
This museum was established in 1970, and occupies the original Royal Bank building and the former Anglican Church. Among its many unique artifacts are two antique tractors, many historic household items, and a mounted whooping crane from 1906. Open June to August, 9am – 5pm.
